My name is Valentin Rebours, I am a french director and aspiring Editor. Here you will find examples of some of my work across different genres, as well as my first indie feature “Le Chant du Desert’.

LE CHANT DU DESERT
2018 - 54min - Director and DOP
Nina (Justine Thibaudat), is a young woman who left Europe to start a new life in Namibia. However, she cannot escape ghosts of the past. She will have to face her demons whilst lost in the Namibian desert.
"LE CHANT DU DESERT" (SONG OF THE DESERT) is my first feature film, produced by Magic Touch Films. In this feature I wanted to explore the relationship between memory loss and the possibility to change oneself and become a different person. This movie was shot in Namibia in 2014. Release 2017.
LA LOI SANS ELLE
2017 - Director and DOP
Cliff (Duncan Talhouet) is a young policeman on his first case: the death of his lover. In order to stay on the case, he has to hide the relationship with the victim and follow his instinct to catch the killer.
LA LOI SANS ELLE (The Law without Her) is a short movie I began shooting a year ago in France. In this short I explore the way love and revenge are entangled when someone loses their loved ones. I will shoot the rest of the film in London this year. Release early 2017.
"What is essential to me is setting up the story in a particular space so that I can watch how the actors create the story by becoming my characters.”
